Little Fiction

There was an old man who had a little rose-plant with him at his backyard.

The man was very sad with his family. His wife was the only support for him these days. His daughters were both married and were busy in their own lives. His only son was abroad, sending money to his father, thinking money is the only expectation from an aged father.

Poor man, used to go for a walking at dawn and dusk, just to feel companionship. He searched a buddy, stepping out of the door, not realizing that someone inside the door also, needs his solidarity.
He got bored of his life and his wife. Both seemed irritating to him, day after day. Loss of interest in living brought down in the dumps of his life.

His wife had a passion of gardening. One day, the old man was walking along the streets with his roadside pal, when his friend gave him a tiny rose plant and said “Keep it with you… I’m leaving the place”.
Not knowing what to do with it, he brought it at home and planted it at his backyard.

Unknowingly, he brought his wife’s passion back into existence.

The old lady watered the plant every morning and evening without fail..
She used to smile at the rose every morning and say, "Hi... Rosy... You are looking beautiful today! Keep up with your beauty with this smile forever...”

Day after Day, the roses started blossoming quickly and his spouse used to say to the mating Roses...
“Hey Friends, U look cute together, stay this way happily"...

Soon, the rose plant turned into a rose-nursery. They bloomed like never before.

Looking at this, the old man started feeling blissful on the cultivation. He was amazed to see the roses flowering so soon.
But still, he was in his own life, bringing depressions on his own, thinking all the unconstructiveness of life.
The pretty old lady, however, was enthusiastic in building her own life in her own way.

She started loving the roses which responded to her love. She talked to them when she was happy; she talked to them, when she was left alone. The next day, she used to see the responsiveness of the roses.
She wondered how life exists in plants!

She is a warm soul, plowing cheer in herself all the time, but one fine day, she got upset on things which she kept in herself. She tried her best to be happy and cheer the roses, but in the process, she was dumping her sadness and loneliness. One day, she cried in front of her garden, talking to the roses about her plea. The next day, she found some roses withered, badly. There, she realized how her talks affected them, and how it would have impinged on herself.

Again she smiled and began patching.
The roses blossomed themselves all over again.

One gloomy day, the old lady died of her mental sickness. She was lonely, irrespective of her spouse’s living. Cynicism and distrust of the man with life and his wife, after prolonged years of living led the woman feel deceased. She smiled in front of the roses, just to give a real life to them. She saw their retort and lived her life, only when she was facing the pretty innocent roses!
One single petite plant was outlasted and raised into a rose-throng from a single rose bud, because of the love that the woman gave to them!!!

However, the woman couldn’t last long, since she had no one to understand her and bring smiles in her, the way she subsisted with her roses.

Nevertheless, the old man did one good thing to his wife. Albeit, he couldn’t love her, somewhere he was the source of her passion to live, by bringing rose plants at home…!!

P.S. Love is irreplaceable.

Try giving love and U will realize how life is beautiful for you as well as others. There can be people around you, who may live for you, and you may not be noticing them, for no reason.

You may not trust them for any reason. Not always, what you see or hear is true!! Feelings should be cultivated from within, and not to be imbibed based on what you see in someone.

You may never know what the other person is!! You may never know that a warm hug, a caring query, a loving kiss may make someone’s life root from its origin!!

Kindness is the heart of all bonding. Life is not as complicated as one may think!! Think broadly, Live it and Love it….
